Close to home is an acoustic band, consisting of singer Liz Meesters, guitarist Ben Wiltjer and mandolin player Henry Luurtsema.

Their music is a combination of bluegrass, folk & country. The repertoire varies from sad country songs and our own versions of traditionals to more upbeat, cheerful folk songs.
Close to Home is characterized by music that is derived from the American bluegrass music mixed with European influences.
The different backgrounds of the musicians and the surprising voice of Liz provide a special atmosphere.
